About Us — The Wildflower Birth Photographers

Who Are We?

We are Mother Wolf, Bravely Birth and Matriarch Birth Photography together as The Wildflower Birth Photographers serving Tacoma, WA and the surrounding areas. We work together as a collective. This means, when you hire one of us, you are actually hiring all of us. You will be set up with a main photographer and the remaining photographers will be your backup photographers just incase your main photographer can not make it due to sickness, a family emergency or vacation. You are provided with secure backup and with the peace of mind of knowing who will be at your birth. You will have the chance to meet all of us with either an optional zoom call or at one of our park meet ups we host every other month. Wildflower strives to provide our community with the very best birth photography while also educating others and normalizing birth through our work. We provide Maternity, Birth, Newborn + Fresh 48 Sessions, Video as well as Birth Plan Support and Placenta Encapsulation.

I am a PNW native, wife to the guy that keeps me balanced and mommy to 3. You may see only 2 kiddos in my arms but my first daughter is what drove me to this work, fuels my fire and is my greatest motivation in what I do. I am a believer that black is truly a color not just a shade, sucker for a hard kombucha, a good F bomb makes me feel better and the true definition of an introvert that can rock an extrovert persona. It is my greatest pride to be able to capture these moments of raw vulnerability, triumph, transformative and intensity for families like yours. I have fallen in love with the stories of birth.

I’m Kyle! Give me all the time outdoors with my wee babes and a spicy romance novel at nap time. I was a Kindergarten teacher for 7 years, and it still influences the way I walk through the world. In particular, with jazz hands and sing-talking. I’m a nurturing and playful person, especially with little ones. I am endlessly inspired by motherhood. I believe that every birthing person deserves to feel empowered, informed, and supported. I’ve been a lifestyle photographer for years, but have finally found my home in the world of birth.

I live in Tacoma with my husband and 3 wild and adventurous little boys. You can catch me reading a good sefl-help book, hiking up trails or mountain biking. I first fell in love with birth after my first son was born in 2016. Growing up, I was taught birth was scary, gross and everyone HAD to give birth a certain way. So, when I was pregnant with my first, that was all I knew until about halfway through my pregnancy. I realized I had a voice, choice and options so, I switched my care at 34 weeks pregnant. My experience changed my life so much I became a Doula just a few months after my son was born. I started to bring my camera along to births and fell in love with documenting families stories. I love that I can create this beautiful art with something so many people fear. My passion is to educate people and normalize birth through my work.
